About Round Lemon!

Hello Readers!

You might have seen our social media channels wondering what actually is Round Lemon? Why is Round Lemon relevant to me? Who’s behind Round Lemon? Hopefully this post will answer all your questions.

Firstly, Welcome to ZEST - the voice of Round Lemon! We’ve launched today after weeks of preparation to provide some juicy and arty blog content, including motivational posts, advice articles, competitions and other politically relevant topics from the perspective of artists.

ZEST is essentially an art blog, where you can respond and engage in conversation through the comments below. Please do engage with us and other readers as this is your space! We are looking to open up ZEST for other eager art bloggers to join in the near future. Keep up to date with ZEST and Round Lemon socials for further details.

What is Round Lemon?

Round Lemon is an online platform run by up and coming artists, for up and coming artists. Our aim is to provide a community space for artists to:

-       Participate and host various workshops.

-       Sell their work through our Art Shop.

-       Engage and post about art through ZEST.

-       Find out about art events and opportunities in the UK.

Why is Round Lemon relevant to me?

If you consider yourself an artist, art student, artist educator, or have any general interest in art, then Round Lemon is relevant to you. This is because this is your space to participate, whether it be just tuning in to read ZEST content, or maybe you envision yourself hosting a workshop and selling your work. Even if you don’t know anything about art and just want to have a nosey, this is the place for you to learn something new and engage with real people studying and working on the art scene.

Who are the faces behind Round Lemon?

Round Lemon was founded during lockdown by 4 up and coming artists, studying Fine Art in Birmingham. Our practices range from queer digital art, body and performance work, community practice as well as sculptural practice. You’ll be able to find out more about us through our blog posts and artist profiles.

More about workshops.

We didn’t want the current health crisis to stop us from doing workshops, so we’re planning to host a mixture of both free and paid workshops via zoom. Workshops will be available to book/purchase through the Art Shop, and we will keep you updated about up and coming listings.

Want to host a workshop / sell your work / be a guest blogger?

Fill in our application form with all the appropriate details, and we will get back to you within 14 days. If you have any questions or want more information, please email us at admin@roundlemon.co.uk.

If there’s anything you want to see or hear about, please don’t hesitate to drop a comment below. We really encourage your participation and feedback!

Once again, welcome and Enjoy! 🍋
